Environmental Scientist/Engineer - Cincinnati, Durham, Las Vegas, and Chicago Offices

JOB DESCRIPTION/JOB DUTIES, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE

Qualified candidate will serve as an Environmental Scientist/Engineer in the Cincinnati, Durham, Las Veags and Chicago Offices and will be responsible for providing technical assistance and office support for air, water, and waste-related projects.  Candidate must be able to work independently with minimal supervision on selected projects and with Project Manager support on longer, more complex projects. 

Bachelors’ degree in a science-related field required and 1-2 years of related experience in environmental compliance and permitting a plus for our entry level positions. We are also looking for highly qualified air permitting scientist/engineers and modeling support in these same offices.  

Requires attention to detail; excellent writing skills and will include providing assistance with preparation of reports and plans, air and wastewater permit applications, knowledge of hazardous waste program requirements, and compliance recordkeeping activities.  Knowledge and experience with Microsoft software (i.e., Word, Excel and PowerPoint) required.  Must have, or be willing to obtain 40-hour HAZWOPER training.  Some travel may be required.

Air Quality/Dispersion Modeling - Cincinnati, Ohio and Durham, North Carolina

JOB DESCRIPTION/JOB DUTIES

Currently seeking individuals with 5 to 10 years of experience in performing air quality evaluations using current U.S. EPA computer dispersion models to support air quality licensing/permitting/compliance studies. Applicants must have a background in meteorology/atmospheric sciences with a focus on air quality modeling and performing air quality modeling simulations for support of air permitting applications and regulatory compliance for power generation, industrial facilities, and transportation projects.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in conducting dispersion modeling and supervising and overseeing modeling efforts by others. Requires good writing skills and will include providing assistance with preparation of field monitoring reports, air permit applications, compliance reporting, and various marketing activities. Knowledge and experience with Microsoft software (i.e., Work, Excel, and Access) and U.S. EPA computer dispersion modeling software are required. Familiarity with emission inventory techniques and preparation are extremely important. Occasionally travel will be required.

Project Controls Technician - Cincinnati, Ohio Office

JOB DESCRIPTION/JOB DUTIES

As Project Controls Technician in the Remediation and Construction Division, will focus on management and administrative support of new and existing environmental and construction projects for government and private sector clients.  Will be primarily responsible for preparation and maintenance of project cost tracking reports and project schedules.  Will provide administrative support functions in the areas of contract/subcontract management, proposal preparation, and project/site management. Must be capable of working with multi-disciplinary and subcontractor personnel on general construction and hazardous waste sites.  Candidates shall be open to travel and/or long-term field assignments and shall hold, or be willing to obtain, OSHA 1910.120 (HAZWOPER) 40-hour training.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

College degree or formal training preferred in construction or project management with emphasis on cost/schedule controls. Minimum 2 years of related project experience.  Strong computer and interpersonal skills required.  Federal, state, local/municipal government contract experience desired.

Cost Estimator- Cincinnati, Ohio Office

JOB DESCRIPTION/JOB DUTIES

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

College degree or formal training preferred in construction or civil/architectural discipline with emphasis on cost/schedule estimating and project controls. Minimum 5 years of related project experience involving most divisions of the 2004 CSI site, facility and process subgroups.  Working knowledge and experience with RS Means/ECHOS, parametric cost estimating systems such as RACER and MCASES, and commercially available construction cost estimating systems. Strong computer and interpersonal skills required.  Federal, state, local/municipal government contract experience desired.
