Non-Destructive Testing (NDT)
NDT is vital for constructing and maintaining all types of components and structures. During their service lives, many industrial components need regular nondestructive tests to detect damage that may be difficult or expensive to find by everyday methods. To detect these defects, there are different methods of testing available, such as ultrasound and x-ray.
EQ's staff are certified in ultrasonic testing per the American Society for Nondestructive Testing, ANSI/ASNT CP-189 "ASNT Standard for Qualification and Certification of Nondestructive Testing Personnel." In addition, they are also certified in accordance with as The Steel Tank Institute (STI) Standard SP001-03. Staff are also OSHA trained in confined space entry and are experienced in monitoring air pollutants to ensure safe entry while working in confined spaces.
