The GIS & Satellite Imagery Staff of Environmental Quality Management, Inc. (EQ), have considerable experience utilizing Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Remote Sensing on various projects nationwide.
Dr. Marcus Borengasser
Dr. Borengasser has over 15 years of experience in the management of GIS/Satellite Image data systems and the computer analysis of satellite imagery and aerial photography. He has worked with Arc/Info, GRID, ArcView, Spatial Analyst, and Stereo Analyst on various types of satellite image and other data sets. He uses ENVI image processing software, and Matlab quantitative analysis software. His experience includes teaching of GIS, Aerospace Remote Sensing, and topic in Computer Information Systems at Florida Institute of Technology. He has performed R&D to develop new applications of remote sensing and GIS. He has recently completed a project that used supervised classification of Landsat TM imagery to calculate the total acres of various land types in Clark County Nevada including native desert, disturbed stabilized land, and disturbed unstabilized land. He is a member of the American Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing.
